Project Runway Australia

So I really should have posted this a few months ago but with managing the online store now and with my new collection in the works for EKOLUV It honestly slipped my mind. This post will recap my highlights of Project Runway Australia Season 4, 2012 and some never seen behind the scenes pics. It all started with the initial casting held in Melbourne, Australia where over a hundred models are all herded up and asked to walk for the designers. We are then picked by the designer's themselves as seen in the finale episode, with my comp card being grabbed by designer Christina Exie. A sigh of relief as I am told to stay on and selected for the finale runway. A few weeks later I am then arriving at the Whithouse Institute of Design in the CBD of Melbourne, my model bag in hand and ready for the fitting. My fitting with Christina went well and Alex Perry had suggested she add a belt to the amazing Kimono dress she had for me to wear, this made an immediate impact on the dress and was a great suggestion by Alex. A couple of days pass and I find myself at the Docklands in Melbourne, a lovely place along the water near the marina's. I meet with Christina, sit with the rest of the models in my group and we are waiting for hair and makeup. A few more fittings, preparation and rehearsals and we are ready to rock the runway. Getting to meet Alex Perry and seeing Megan Gale was great, she is even more beautiful in person. Guests included Brinn Edelstin, news presenters and Nick Gianopolos from the Wog boy all attended the event. All the designer's did an amazing job and their collections were stunning my second favourite apart from Christina, was Leah as her gowns were simply beautiful and elegant.I also loved Jamie's colour palette and accessories he teamed up with his collection. After watching the episode on tv, I was shocked with the editing and can't say I'm a fan of the slow motion, the great news though is the winner was to my delight Christina Exie! I was so happy as I loved all of Christina's designs and personally she was my favourite simply becuase of her style, she had such a different aesthetic and I could forsee her collections on the catwalks of Milan or being in Collaboration with Louis Vuitton to design for their new collections. I say watch out for this talented lady, we may see her designs on the catwalks in Europe sooner than we think.
